A purpose built creative community space for everyone to come and learn through worshipping Jesus. A creative studio classroom, a community family room, outdoor learning and gardening spaces and a mini kitchen.
We are renovating as a family of 6. Our children are learning to hammer and decorate. It's slow but it's worshipful. These are the days we will talk about when they are older, the time mum and dad built a hub for them and their friends.
Our heart is to create a space where our children learn that who they are and what they do is worship. Their work and their lives are an offering to Jesus. In this space, we unlock every creative gift and form godly character and identity.
We have always had the backing and support of River Church, Canning Town.
It's the olace where we had our first session all those years ago with only 12 children.
5 years on and we have over 1,000 children on our books who have come to a session, an exhibition or special event. We are so grateful for your support.
I am pleased to announce that we will be taking up residence at Cooper Street! No more moving around tables and chairs.
This has always been about creating an environment for my children and in doing so, we have found a tribe of people and families with similar values and ideals.
Weekly sessions aren't enough, we want to do community, creativity and life together.
The Hub is coming..
Iteration is one of my favourite words. As my children grow, so does Waymakers.
Over the next few months, we will be renovating our own purposeful creative hub in Canning Town.
We are so excited to share the vision and mission for it!
Pending....
We are in the process of securing grants and funds to take this project into it's new stage. We are so grateful for the support of families who have paid for sessions, for those who have hired Waymakers for parties and for the artist collaborations that have come from this work. This has all helped to get us to this next phase. If you would like to support our renovating please do contact us!
If you are a funder reading this - we are always looking to partner with meaningful organisations who support the wellbeing of young people, have a heart for community cohesion and want to see families and young people equipped with skills and training that will support them in this changing society.
