Partnerships with E16
Waymakers Kids worked in partnership with local artists, producers and curators to deliver our projects. Below are some of their thoughts on working with Waymakers Kids and some quotes from the wider team, parents and children.
"Waymakers has given me the confidence to teach the fundamentals of colour theory and mark making techniques to people of all ages through these events. It's pushed me to think even more creatively when seeing what was produced, by adding other techniques such as printing and spraying into the mix. Because of the mess-play nature of Waymakers, it's taught me to embrace the accidental spills and rough cuts, and turn those into beautiful pieces of art. "
"Waymakers has given me a new perspective both in my career and life in general. It has targeted a piece in my career that I didn't know needed fulfilment which was to share my skills and knowledge as a designer to the younger generation and to just have fun with creative activities. Seeing the kids joy with it all made me appreciate what I do for work.

These types of events really knit together communities enabling them to realise what they can acheive with their creative efforts. "
